What’s the future of DEI: A Corporate Governance Podcast

What’s the future of DEI

What’s the future of DEI? The latest edition of the corporate governance podcast looks at a core boardroom term and why it might not be that relevant anymore.

What’s the future of DEI?

Dan’s latest guest is Margot Slattery, Global Group Head of Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging at ISS World Services.

The topic is DEI and social sustainability, two issues that have been at the core of many corporate strategies over the last 15-20 years, but which have endured a lot of political and media backlash since the beginning of 2025.

Clarity has been replaced with confusion as corporate leaders try to navigate the new, more hostile rhetoric and try to understand how they continue with their own corporate principles in a world where corporate buzzwords have transformed into trigger terms.

Beneath it all is a fundamental question of strategy, and that’s what Dan and Margot will get to the bottom of.
