We need to talk about compliance: A Corporate Governance Podcast
We need to talk about compliance
Business leaders will regularly see the word “compliance” on their agenda. It’s a long-standing governance responsibility, often daunting, but as stakeholder pressure continues to increase, it’s more important than ever.
This episode of the Corporate Governance Podcast gets to the bottom of good compliance with expert guest Dr Max Steiger – Chief Compliance and Governance Officer at German digital payment solutions provider Unzer.
Max unpacks why compliance depends so much on directors’ input, and how it may change in the coming years and lose its effectiveness unless robust steps are taken.
He also shares great insights into the role of AI in compliance going forward – how it might revolutionise certain tasks while keeping others firmly on the list of things that need human input and oversight.
