Even though the digital world creates excellent opportunities, it also creates great risks. There is no shortage of cases of risk management and governance failures. High-profile cases like Wirecard, Natwest Ireland (Ulster Bank) or Wells Fargo are only recent examples.
Kevin McHugh will outline how boards can strategically manage their risks to take advantage of digital opportunities while mitigating the risks of the digital world.

He was the chief risk officer at the Bank of Montreal (Europe) Plc and prior to that was divisional chief compliance and risk officer of AIB. He also worked for big four firms in management roles in Ireland, the US and Europe. He is a Fellow of Chartered Accountants Ireland and of the Chartered Institute of Securities and Investments.
