Sharon-Constancon

Sharon Constançon

Sharon Constançon is an experienced executive and non-executive director.

She is CEO of Genius Boards and Genius Methods – the Genius Group, that offers tailored,
behaviour and leadership focused board evaluations, training and mentoring services.

Sharon is a Chartered Director, Chartered Secretary and has an MBA.  Is Chairman of the
South African Chamber of Commerce UK, is an International Committee Member of the
Chartered Institute of Securities and Investment (CISI) and is Chairman of the Membership
Committee and member of the Court of the Worshipful Company of Chartered Secretaries
and Administrators (WCCSA). 

David W Duffy

David is the Founder & CEO of The Governance Company, an experienced board member, governance consultant and Ireland’s leading author on corporate governance. His last two books are  “A Practical Guide to Corporate Governance” and “A Practical Guide for Company Directors”. David is considered an innovator in governance research and engagement and is an authority for all things board-related in Ireland and across Europe.

Diarmaid O’Corrbui

Diarmaid CEO of Carmichael, a leading specialist training and support body for nonprofits in Ireland. Carmichael is a training, support and resources business that enables their clients to be more effective and impactful in each of their own individual areas.

Diarmaid is a former Executive Board Director and Company Secretary for three private sector companies. He is a certified Technical Corporate Governance Assessor in the National Standards Authority of Ireland’s Swift 3000 Code of Practice for Corporate Governance Assessment.

Tony McPoland

Tony McPoland worked for twenty five years in the financial services industry, and served ten years on the Board of Directors of LBBW Bank with executive responsibility for Finance, Operations, Risk and IT. He has become a professional independent Director and sits on the Boards of eleven companies including a regulated asset manager, a number of regulated funds, SME companies and non-profit organisations. He is Chairman of five of these Boards.  He is a Fellow of Chartered Accountants Ireland. He also completed the Advanced Management Programme in INSEAD, and The Institute of Director’s Diploma and Certificate in Company Direction. He joined the Board of LauraLynn in 2015.

Caitriona Somers

Caitríona Somers has extensive experience developed throughout her career in general insurance.  Caitríona spent 10 years as CEO of the Irish subsidiary of Cunningham Lindsey Group and was a member of the Executive Global Leadership Team of the Group.

A Chartered Director and Fellow of the Chartered Insurance Institute and the Chartered Institute of Loss Adjusters, she holds a Diploma in Company Direction and a MSc in Business and Digital Innovation. She holds a number of independent director positions within the financial services sector to include IPB Insurance CLG, where she chairs the Remuneration committee and Brown Brothers Harriman Fund Administration Services Ltd where she is chair of the Audit committee.

Gerry Egan

Gerry Egan is a Consultant and Trainer specialising in corporate governance, data protection and GDPR compliance, and strategy development working with clients in the private, public, and non-profit sectors.

Gerry is an experienced Chairman, Director and Company Secretary with over 30 years’ experience in a commercial State company where he held a number of senior executive roles and led significant transformation programmes. He currently serves on the boards of Carmichael and Dóchas.

Gerry holds a M.Sc. (Mgmt.) from Trinity College and is a Chartered Director.

Jennifer Pattwell

Jenny Pattwell

Jenny Pattwell is a s a Partner with EY’s EMEIA Financial Services Consulting practice in Ireland with over 20 years of experience in the FS industry. She is known for bringing practical insights and fresh perspectives to each assignment, where she focuses on large scale FS transformations, Risk Management, Regulatory Advisory and Data & Analytics.

Prior to her time with EY, Jenny was a Partner with PwC Singapore following a number of years in banking with Lloyds TSB Bank working across multiple functions and lines of defence in their London, Dubai and New York offices. She has worked on numerous complex engagements, and assisted clients on key Board topics such as corporate governance, culture, executive accountability, enterprise risk management and operational resilience.

She takes pride in applying her wealth of experience and technical expertise along with her interpersonal strengths to build trust and to add value while helping to shape the future direction of governance and risk.

Sean O’Reilly

Sean is an ambitious, motivated, highly driven and innovative Chartered Accountant with a keen interest in accounting, entrepreneurial finance and financing for SMEs. He is currently the Assistant Head in the School of Accounting and Finance managing the Economics and Finance programmes in Technological University Dublin. Sean has lectured a broad range of students from First Year to Masters Level in Accountancy and Finance related modules and also for Chartered Accountants Ireland at FAE level. He is currently undertaking a PhD in Entrepreneurial Finance.

Sean has extensive experience as a company Founder, Director, Non-Executive Director and Consultant which includes International projects.

Noel Ford

Noel Ford MBA, CIFD, CMC is a vastly experienced executive and non-executive director, international governance, risk and compliance consultant and author.

He has over 30 years’ experience in the international funds industry. He was formally the CEO of Skandia Global Funds PLC and President of Skandia Securities America Inc. He currently serves as Principal and Director with Governance Ireland and serves on a number of international and domestic boards.

Bob Semple

Bob Semple is a Company Director, Facilitator and Lecturer and recently completed a 36-year career with PwC in Dublin and Toronto. He spent 26 years as a Partner and more recently he had responsibility for the Governance, Risk and Compliance practice. A Chartered Accountant by training, Bob holds a Diploma in Company Direction (IoD) and a Diploma in Corporate Governance.

Bob is an experienced facilitator and an expert user of electronic collaboration systems. He provides consulting services mainly in the areas of corporate governance, board evaluation, and risk management and lectures for a number of bodies including the IMIUCD and The Law Society of Ireland.

Paul White

Paul A. White, is a founding member of Ireland’s largest indigenous ICT company DCC Technology, he has held Group, Board and Senior Executive roles for DCC Plc in France, the UK, and Ireland, he has worked with Plc’s, established companies and start-up businesses, focusing on business development, mergers, acquisitions and business restructuring.

Paul is a graduate of the postgraduate Diploma in Corporate Governance from UCD Michael Smurfit Business School, he has achieved Chartered Director (C Dir) status with the IOD (UK & Irl).

He is a founder member of the Corporate Governance Association of Ireland (CGAI), a member of the Institute of Directors (Irl & UK), the Institute of Management Consultants and Advisers (IMCA) and a Fellow of the Marketing Institute of Ireland (FMII)

Currently employed as a Corporate Governance adviser with Governance Ireland Ltd, Paul is a SWiFT 3000 Corporate Governance Assessor, A lead QMS auditor for (ISO 9001), a Non-Executive Director, business adviser, investor and mentor, he currently specialises in board effectiveness reviews, mediation and Corporate Governance services.

A former Board and Audit Committee member of Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital Crumlin, he is currently the Chair of the Children’s Medical Research Foundation Crumlin and an Audit Committee member at the Office of the Attorney General.
