Tell us about your professional experience before discovering The Corporate Governance Institute.
I have spent several years in senior executive leadership, working across media, advertising and marketing with responsibility for strategic direction, operational performance and stakeholder management. Prior to discovering The Corporate Governance Institute, I had accumulated substantial hands-on experience at the C-suite level but lacked a formal, structured framework to underpin my governance thinking.
What challenges or opportunities were you facing in your career or on your board before taking our course?
As my career progressed into more senior roles, I found myself increasingly engaged with board-level discussions and governance matters. I recognised a gap between my practical experience and a deeper, structured understanding of corporate governance frameworks, director responsibilities and best practices. I wanted to engage more confidently and effectively at board level.
