"Having this credential makes me feel more confident and at ease during important meetings with my major corporate clients."

Tell us about your professional experience before discovering The Corporate Governance Institute.

For the past 30 years, I have built extensive experience in the insurance and finance sector in Switzerland.

What challenges or opportunities were you facing in your career or on your board before taking our course?

Over the years, I have become involved at a national level, rather than just in a small region so I’m regularly faced with a wide breadth of challenges. After completing my Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA), it was a natural step for me to move into the board of directors side of things, as I often have contact with that world in my professional life.

Why did you choose to study for the Diploma in Corporate Governance with us to help with these challenges/opportunities?

I decided to study for the Corporate Governance Diploma after consulting with an AI advisor, which analysed my situation and recommended this course as the best move for my career.

Can you describe any particular elements of the course that stood out to you or made a significant impact?

Personally, the section on how relationships are to be established and maintained with the operational side made the greatest impact.

How has completing this course influenced your career, leadership approach, governance or ESG skills?

I’ve been building these skills for many years now, but after this course I’m now able to expand on them and in greater depth.

How has it improved decision-making or performance within your organisation?

Having this credential makes me feel more confident and at ease during important meetings with my major corporate clients.

What did you find most beneficial about studying with The Corporate Governance Institute?

I really appreciated the studying format that allowed me to get a head start on the course when I had some free time and my mind was ready.

What advice would you give future learners wishing to pursue the Diploma in Corporate Governance?

TCGI’s Diploma in Corporate Governance is more comprehensive than the Certificate of Advanced Studies (CAS) in governance offered in my own country, Switzerland, so please do consider choosing this Institute.

How likely are you to recommend our certifications to a colleague?

5/5
