Before discovering The Corporate Governance Institute, I had built professional experience across operational management, strategic planning and stakeholder engagement. My work involved supporting organisational objectives, coordinating with diverse teams, managing responsibilities in fast-paced environments and contributing to sound decision-making. 

Through these roles, I developed strong communication, leadership, analytical and problem-solving skills. I also became increasingly interested in how effective boards, ethical leadership, risk oversight and good governance contribute to sustainable organisational performance. This interest ultimately led me to The Corporate Governance Institute, where I could deepen my knowledge and prepare to contribute more effectively at board and governance level.

What challenges or opportunities were you facing in your career or on your board before taking our course?

Before taking the course, I was looking to progress from operational and strategic responsibilities into more formal board and governance roles.
