Tell us about your professional experience before discovering the Corporate Governance Institute.

Before discovering the Corporate Governance Institute I was Co-CEO of Codere, an important gaming company with operations in Spain, Italy and Latam.

What challenges or opportunities were you facing in your career or on your board before taking our course?

I wanted to become an independent non-executive director. I have experience dealing with boards, and sat on boards of affiliate companies but felt I needed a deeper understanding, so I researched and found the Corporate Governance Institute.

Why did you choose to study for the Diploma in Corporate Governance with us to help with these challenges/opportunities?

The content was exactly what I was looking for, the possibility of doing it remotely and self-paced, and the university qualification it offers.

Can you describe any particular elements of the course that stood out to you or made a significant impact?

It was a very good mixture of lectures, exercises, and complimentary material. The professors are very experienced. The exams were offered at the right stage in the course.

How has completing this course influenced your career, leadership approach, or governance or ESG skills?

As I mentioned before, the course completed my knowledge, broadened my governance toolkit, gave me practical tools to implement in my future board roles and enhanced my little exposure to ESG.

I acquired all the necessary information/knowledge to complement my practical experience.
